We have been in the carpet business since 1946.
We deal in handmade products—carpets and flat weaves. We work mostly with wool, but also with other fibre like cotton, silk, jute, etc. We work entirely to order and do not produce merchandise and store it .
Our firm specializes in art work and one-of-a-kind carpets and durries. We are always doing all the difficult work, and have worked with some of the best names in the business. Over the years, we have worked with Bloomingdales, Marshall Fields, Bullocks and the odd retail store in America . In Europe too, we have worked with Magazijn de Bijenkorf in Holland , Nordiska in Sweden , Globus in Switzerland and the odd retailers all over Europe . At the moment, we are working for a client in Monaco , doing a lot of work in Scandinavia for furniture stores and boutiques, etc. We are also working with art galleries in New York , London , Paris and Australia . They, in turn, are dealing with famous names and designers throughout the world.
We have made carpets and durries out of designs by Picasso, Warhol, Lichtenstein, Hockney, Steinberg, Appel, Piper, Frink, Miro, Arp, Ernst and a lot of other American and European artists. We have even done commissions for popular Indian artists like Manjit Bawa and Arpita Singh.
Our strength lies in colour control and the understanding of the medium. Regardless of whether it is a large order for a number of pieces, or special orders, we have paid attention to detail and the product itself.
That is why our carpets have gone to the White House , JFK Airport , the Royal Palace in Japan , the Swedish Embassies in Germany and Brazil , the main office of Nobel Industries, and to numerous famous and not so famous people.
